However, today I tried launching the program and got the following error: 'This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin 'windows in '. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.'

I'm all updated and running win 7 HP. I tried everything, even did a sys file check. I downloaded the Qt for beginners app.

Cheers, Nils. I got these troubleshooting steps from online chat. My error message was Qt platform plugin 'windows' in'. (STEP 1) For Windows 7 control panel-->appearence and personalization--->folder options--->views--->show all the hidden folders (Step 1) Press Windows and E at the same time. Then click on view-->options-->views in the small window Then select sho hidden folders and files and then, apply and ok, (Step 2) for 7, 8 10 Please access your 'C' drive.

Program data-->origin-->delete everything except Local content. (Step 3) Please access your 'C' drive. Users-->Your user ID folder-->App data-->Local and delete the origin folder inside it (step 4) Please access your 'C' drive. Users-->Your user ID folder-->App data-->roaming and delete the origin folder inside it now please restart the PC I'm not sure what is meant by local content - if anyone could help me with that.
