I think one of the end times books gave them some more options, but that was too late. The beastmen only ever got one armybook and it's a little monotone. Lacks variety, both in the lore and the unit roster. The special character section is great, no problems there but everything else is underwhelming. I like Razorgors & Centigors, but the time spent making models for them would've been better spent making new types of Chaos Spawn, Mutants etc. For the sake of visual variety.

That's the main problem with the beastmen. Imagine if you had cults of human chaos worshippers, half daemon rot monsters or a GW version of a Dark Young of Shub-Niggurath.
