Monster Hunter games have never had english in their Japanese versions. The game has a lot of equipment and items that have interpretive names. In one case, there is a weapon named 'れなゐの/Kurenawino' which translates roughly to 'Faint crimson colored thin folding fan'. No way the item's going to keep that item name. With there being 14 weapon trees and each weapon tree having over 100+ weapons, then there's all the monsters, the armor sets, the armor abilities, and the monster parts. They got a lot of translating to do. Having all this ready for a Japan launch would delay the game for something that barely benefits that region.

There won't be monster hunter has been this way since back in the psp glory days. I remember begging my mom for the jap copy and surprisingly I understood enough about the game to play it with only a bit of trouble, mostly figuring out which quest was what, but that is easily solved now since the internet has grown so much and I'm sure someone will translate it asap. I just don't know if we will be able to get the jp version or not. I really wish they would just listen to their English speaking fans and do it at once;( • • • •.

Of we're going by the pattern of monsterhunter tri G HD ver announcement. That was September announcement in Japan, Later September announcement for the west. Releases 3 months later in japan and an additional 3 months for the west. So going by what we have now and we stick to the 3 month gap, We got announcement late may in japan, (releases 3 months later in august) So most likely around e3 time we will get west confirmation with a release 3 months later in the west. So my guess is around novemberish. But they could very well decide to release simultaneous WW bc is an expansion of X and switch is region free(3ds was not) and i doubt capcom want to lose sales in the west to japan for the diehard fans.
