This is a bit of a weird one but my roommate is trying to force me and my girlfriend out of our flat because she wants her mother to move in and one of the things she has done is disabling the internet. First she was taking the router with her every time she left the flat, now she has worked out how to change the password. I guess there is a reset to factory settings button on it but I am hoping there could be a way to connect without her knowing?

It says there is an option to connect by pressing a button on the router but I tried and it didn't work, also would this connect automatically if I got this option to work? I don't think it would be illegal to hack the router as it is in my own house although I will ask my lawyer about that, it could also be an option. Any suggestions? If the router is factory reset each time there is no getting round childish behaviour.

It hasnt been reset, the password used to be the original router password written on the box but she has changed it to something else. So if I reset it I can access but she will know. How do I connect with the button on the box?

I have both windows 8 and windows 7 computers. If I can do that it would probably take her a while to work out we were still using it but it says windows cant get settings automatically, please enter the password.
