Acer Multimedia Card Reader Driver Windows 7
64-bit Acer Card Reader driver needed I have an Acer Aspire 5051 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit. All drivers are installed apart from the 5-in-1 xD Card Reader. Now I know theres a 64-Bit driver somewhere cos I had it on 64-Bit vista sometime ago. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website. Right-click on the driver setup.exe file and click on ‘properties’. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select previous operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
This package supports the following driver models: • ENE CB-1211 Cardbus Controller • ENE CB-1225 Cardbus Controller • ENE CB-1410/851 Cardbus Controller • ENE CB-1420/852 Cardbus Controller • ENE CB-710/712/714/810 Cardbus Controller • ENE CB-720 Cardbus Controller • ENE CB-712/714/810 Cardbus Controller • ENE CB-722/724/820 Cardbus Controller • ENE PCI Memory Stick Card Reader Controller • ENE PCI Secure Digital Card Reader Controller • ENE PCI SmartMedia / xD Card Reader Controller • ENE PCI Memory Stick Port Driver • ENE PCI Secure Digital Port Driver • ENE PCI SmartMedia / xD Port Driver.
I bought an Acer Aspire series laptop with authorized windows 7 home premium. Everything worked fine. Windows 10 was offered as a free upgrade. Post the upgrade the SD card reader is not working. Tried the standard hacks like unhiding device folders, installing the realtek sd card reader driver etc. Nothing works. The USB device reader works fine and the flash drives open.
I purchased a USB extender with multiple USB ports and multiple SD / SDHC and micro SD card reader slots. Even the Extender is not recognized by windows 10. Not sure why none of the community provided support responses work!!!
